I left my heart in Rome

Filed under: Uncategorized — idiosyncrazie @ 8:07 pm

Alright, so maybe i’ve never been to Rome but the sights which the movie Angels and Demons presented were more than enough for me to want to leave my heart there. I went for it yesterday and boy, was it good. It certainly had the makings of a Hollywood blockbuster-what with all the car chase and the shootings-but that wasn’t what i loved about the movie. For someone who adores getting lost in the compelling stories history weaves, the movie certainly hit the spot. Following the main lead as he chased symbols and statues of angels around Vatican City, unravelling secrets and at times, astounding information; was one hell of a ride. It was like history heaven but better because of the suspense and the gothic element; at the climax of the movie, the suspense plus special effects made me forget to breathe. But that’s just like me to get so absorbed in a good plot. And a good plot it was. You don’t need to physically be on a roller coaster to experience what this movie would inspire in you.

And the scenery was another thing altogether. The intricate architectures of Rome was absolutely breath-taking. I’d watch the movie again and again just to be able to drink in the images of the gorgeous churches and sculptures which Rome holds. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves now 😀

This was the church where one of the cardinals were burnt alive
